In order to spread science to grass-root, distant, and relatively needy areas in China quickly and widely, activities namely Science Wagon, Mobile Science and Technology Museums, Thematic Travelling Exhibitions are held by the China Science and Technology Museum. Through these activities, the China Science and Technology Museum has built a science popularization network which covers big and medium cities, towns and villages, efficiently establishing a stage where science materials can be shared and benefits can be spread equally to every individual.
Besides, corresponding to the aim that by 2015, 5% of Chinese citizens are equipped with basic science knowledge, in order to appeal to teenagers to know, love, learn and use sciences, Foundation for the development of Science and Technology Museums in China decides to raise investment to implement the activity of establishing science museums for rural middle schools, according to some rules in the Constitution of Chinese Science and Technology Museum Foundation.
